Getting Started
- Bechly.pk is a free online marketplace for buying and selling anything across Pakistan. You can post ads for vehicles, electronics, furniture, property, jobs, and much more — or browse thousands of listings near you.
- Yes. Posting an ad and browsing listings is completely free. You only need to create an account to post, save favourites, or chat with sellers.
- You can sign up with your mobile number (a WhatsApp OTP is sent for verification), your email address and a password, or your Google account. All three methods are fully supported.
- Yes. Tap "Continue with Google" on the login screen. If no account exists for that Google email, one is created automatically.
- If you registered with email, use "Forgot Password" and check your inbox for a reset link. If you registered with a phone number, choose "Forgot Password via Phone" and we will send you a WhatsApp OTP to set a new password.
- We accept Pakistani mobile numbers in any common format: 03XX-XXXXXXX, 923XXXXXXXXX, or +923XXXXXXXXX. The app normalises the number automatically.
Posting Ads
- Tap "Post Ad", choose a category, fill in the title, description, price, condition, and location, then add up to 10 photos. You can also add a YouTube video link. Submit and your ad goes live immediately.
- Yes. Guest posting lets you submit an ad with just your phone number. We send a WhatsApp OTP to verify you own the number. After verification your ad goes live and a basic account is created for you automatically — or linked to your existing account.
- You can upload up to 10 photos per ad. The first photo is automatically set as the cover image, but you can change that order before posting.
- Yes. Paste a YouTube link when creating your ad. You can also choose whether the video appears at the beginning or end of your photo gallery, and set a custom thumbnail.
- You can set a fixed price, mark it as negotiable, or choose "Call for Price" if you prefer buyers to contact you directly before discussing the amount.
- Ads are active for 30 days. After they expire you can repost them, which gives another 60 days of visibility.
- Bumping moves your ad back to the top of search results, as if it were posted just now. This is useful when your ad has slipped down the list and you want more visibility.
- Open your ad from "My Ads", tap the options menu, and select "Mark as Sold". The ad will be hidden from search results but remains in your history.
- Yes. Go to "My Ads", open the ad, and tap Edit. You can change the title, description, price, photos, and location at any time while the ad is active.
- You can list your item as New, Used, or Refurbished so buyers know exactly what to expect before they contact you.
AI Features
- The AI Listing Assistant can generate a professional title, write a full description, suggest a fair price, improve your existing text, translate content, and automatically detect the best category for your item — all from a short description you provide.
- Tell the AI about your item (brand, model, condition, age) and it suggests a competitive price range based on similar listings and market trends in Pakistan.
- Yes. Tap "Generate Description" in the post-ad form, provide a few key details about your item, and the AI produces a clear, buyer-friendly description that you can edit further before publishing.
- If you are unsure which category to pick, use "Detect Category". The AI reads your title and description and recommends the most relevant category and subcategory.
- TTS automatically generates an audio summary of your listing — title, description, price, condition, and location — so buyers who prefer listening over reading can hear the key details without scrolling.
- AI features are rate-limited to protect service quality. Authenticated users can make up to 30 AI requests per minute. Your personal usage counter is visible in the app so you can track your remaining quota.
- Yes. When you submit an ad, automated spam and scam detection checks the content before it goes live. This helps keep the marketplace trustworthy for everyone.
Chat & Offers
- Open any listing and tap "Chat with Seller". A private chat thread is created between you and the seller for that specific item. One chat thread is created per buyer per listing.
- Yes. Inside any chat you can send a formal offer with a proposed amount. The seller can accept, reject, or counter with a different price. This creates a clear negotiation trail both parties can refer to.
- Both you and the seller are notified of the accepted offer inside the chat. You can then coordinate payment and pick-up or delivery details directly in the same thread.
- Yes. The AI chat assistant offers context-aware reply suggestions so you can respond quickly without typing everything from scratch — especially useful during price negotiations.
- The app shows an unread message badge on the Chat icon. Inside the chat list, each thread displays the number of unread messages so you can prioritise which conversations to open first.
Search & Browse
- Type keywords in the search bar at the top of the home screen. You can filter results by category, city or area, price range, and item condition. The app also shows search suggestions as you type.
- The home screen shows nearby listings based on your location, featured ads, and category-grouped listings. Listings closest to you appear first so you can find deals without travelling far.
- Featured listings are highlighted ads that appear prominently at the top of search results and on the home page, giving sellers extra visibility for their items.
- Yes. You can sort by newest first, most relevant, lowest price, or highest price to find exactly what you are looking for.
Favourites
- Tap the heart icon on any listing card or inside the listing detail page. The ad is added to your Favourites list which you can access from your profile at any time.
- Yes, sellers receive a notification when someone adds their listing to favourites. This helps them gauge interest in their item.
- Tap the heart icon again on the listing or inside your Favourites list. The listing is removed immediately.
Location
- You can search for your area by name or allow the app to detect your location automatically using your device GPS. The app supports areas, cities, and provinces across Pakistan.
- No. Only the area, city, and province you select are shown publicly on your listing. Your precise GPS coordinates are never visible to other users.
- Yes. When filling in your listing details, simply search for and select any city or area in Pakistan regardless of where you are currently located.
Safety & Trust
- Open the listing, tap the three-dot menu, and select "Report". Choose the reason (spam, scam, duplicate, prohibited content, or other) and submit. Our team reviews all reports promptly.
- Visit the user's profile page and tap "Report User". Select a reason — spam, fake account, scam, abusive behaviour, or other — and confirm. Reports are confidential.
- Go to the user's profile and tap "Block". Blocked users cannot start new chats with you and their listings will not appear in your feed. You can unblock them at any time from your Blocked Users list in settings.
- Always meet in a public place, inspect the item before paying, never send money in advance to someone you have not met, and trust your instincts. If a deal seems too good to be true, use the in-app chat to ask more questions before proceeding.
Account & Profile
- Go to your profile page and tap Edit. You can update your display name, profile photo, and location. Changes are saved immediately.
- Yes. If you signed up with Google but want to add a phone number, or if you signed up with a phone and want to link your Google account, go to Settings > Account Linking. The app will merge the two accounts if your phone number was already used.
- Go to Settings > Change Password. Enter your current password and then your new password. If you signed in with Google only and have no password set, use the "Forgot Password" flow to create one.
- Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account. You will be asked to confirm the action. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile and all associated data. This action cannot be undone.
- To protect your privacy, phone numbers are masked in public profiles (e.g. 0312-XXX-789). The full number is only shared when a buyer initiates a chat or you choose to display it in your ad.
